One of ARC’s specialties is working around an active workplace, such as the case at the Greenwell Springs Library in Central Louisiana. The facilities total 26,672 square feet and houses 145,000 items. ARC is handling interior demolition of the library’s drywall, flooring, and ceiling as well as demolition of the exterior brick wall. Our crew of five technicians has also worked nights to demolish an exterior wall in order to access a steel beam, which will be taken out by another construction company that specializes in structural steel. The five-figure project will be completed in three phases so as not to disturb library visitors. The library did close for two weeks while another company worked on the mechanical systems, HVAC, and skylight. During that time the Bookmobile was on site to assist with basic services including library card sign up, book checkout and return, reservation pickup and more.
